Kim responded to a model call for a newborn herbal bath session while she was pregnant with her fourth baby (I seem to be attracting the 4th time mamas lately!). Herbal baths are a great way to get some sweet, intimate portraits of your new baby. I find that of all the sessions I do, this is the most relaxing kind (I mean, who wouldn't be able to relax in a nice warm herbal bath??). It forces mama to sit back and relax, and most of the time, baby is more than happy to return to a warm watery environment. Baby boy didn't totally love his bath, but he did sure love nursing while snuggling his mama in the warm tub. Enjoy some favorites from their session!
I've known Alyssa for about 2 years, I met her when I was pregnant with my littlest babe and she encapsulated my placenta for me (shh, you aren't allowed to say that's gross!). We became fast friends, and she's been wanting to snag some family photos so we met up at the most gorgeous park in Woodbury and got some really beautiful images! Her little family is so sweet, and I hope you enjoy looking at their photos as much as I enjoyed working on them!
I met Lauren and her sweet family at the beach for a maternity/nursing session. Lauren responded to a model call looking for mothers who were nursing through their pregnancies. At the time, she was pregnant with her 4th baby, and nursing her 3rd baby. Baby girl was not up to nursing for our session, but the images we captured were lovely all the same.
Additionally, Lauren is part of a husband and wife photography team (http://www.memoriesbymccarthy.com ) and it's always such an honor to work with fellow photographers.
We started off on the beach, and ended in the parking lot, where we captured some of the most beautiful images of the entire session! I'm still chuckling over that. It was very hard to pick a few favorites to share with you! Enjoy!
